During September and October 2015, The Lab hosted a series of targeted and open workshops to look at Haverfordwest’s town centre/ riverside, and contribute towards a vision for its future. The Big Map workshops were intended to encourage active participation across a range of groups, in parallel with the master-planning process being undertaken by urban planning consultants, Nathaniel Lichfield on behalf of Pembrokeshire County Council.

The data and feedback generated in the workshops , in the form of map-overlays, sketches and written responses will be passed to the Council’s consultants during the consultation period , while the workshops provide local groups and interested individuals with a test-bed for ideas, and a vehicle to explore a shared vision of the town’s future.

Two of the workshops were open to all on a drop-in basis:

Saturday 5 September 2-4.30pm. ‘Back to the future’ with Transition Haverfordwest.

Friday 25 September ‘Open Review’ 2-5pm, was an opportunity for members of the public and group participants to join and review the ideas and suggestions that have been put forward so far with Sarah Goy, senior urban planner at Nathaniel Lichfield.
